About Inglewood

Inglewood has been home to the Hollywood Park Racetrack since 1938. The Great Western Forum was built in Inglewood in 1967 and was the home of the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Sparks and the Los Angeles Kings until they moved to Staples Center in 1999. Fosters Freeze, the first ice cream chain in California, was founded by George Foster in 1946 in Inglewood.
